The proposed system includes 1.5 MW, 5-phase PMSG and 5-phase cascaded h-bridge multilevel inverter with pulse width modulation (PWM) control strategy for optimizing the power handling capability and increased efficiency of the system. It continually watches the speed of the operating rotor and monitors the maximum power point (MPP). The suggested control technique dynamically changes the step-size throughout wind speed fluctuations by splitting the power-speed curve into zones with variable widths and achieves rapid speed monitoring with low oscillations. Further, the multilevel inverter helps in achieving the desired AC voltage of sinusoidal nature to be fed to utility grid with improved power quality. The proposed technique for implemented model is validated using MATLAB/Simulink. The system operates effectively to monitor the overall wind operating regions of the rotor speed. ER -
