The building consists of two floors, each floor is a room with a size of 1 m3. The passive ventilation system is represented by a vertical solar chimney(SC) connected to the building, 3 m high, 1 m wide and 0.3 m long, with a direction to the geographical south. The hybrid cooling system consists of two parts. The first part is an earth air heat exchanger (EAHE) with a length of 17 meters and buried underground with a depth of 3 m. The second part is a direct-type evaporative cooler (EV) with a length of 0.6 m, a width of 0.3 m, and a height of 0.3. The building is connected to the hybrid cooling system and to each room from the north side. The test results showed that the hybrid cooling system reduced the building temperature at a rate of (12-18)cº and increased the relative humidity by 25% compared with the external relative humidity. The passive ventilation system also gave an increase in the air change rate per hour ACH, which was the highest values in periods Noon, where it exceeded 10, and also gave low but acceptable rates during the evening period at 18 pm.</p>}, journal={Design Engineering}, author={Abbas A.
