School Principal Management in Improving the Pedagogical Competence of Subject Teachers at Junior High School

Abstract

School principals in carrying out educational activities are required to have managerial abilities. This managerial ability is a very complex role, because it includes the principal's duties in managing the school. Another illustration is that teachers are no less important because teachers are the front guard in improving the quality of education, so in this case it needs to be managed well in relation to planning for teacher competency development to improve pedagogical competency which has been implemented well in both schools. Implementation of teacher competency development to increase competency Teacher pedagogy is carried out in accordance with the planning and organization carried out in each school. Supervision of teacher competency development to improve teacher pedagogical competency has been carried out by the school principal by recommending suggestions to teachers to make follow-up plans, however there are still monitoring and evaluation reports of development that have not been prepared and distributed to related parties due to the insufficient number of teachers.
