Research on Model Construction of English Translation of Energy Science and Technology Based on Functional Equivalence Theory
Abstract
Energy is an important topic of English in science and technology. At present, China’s energy industry as well as cultural exchanges among countries develops rapidly. English related to energy is more professional with its nominal structure and strong discourse logic. Taking mineral resources as an example, based on functional equivalence theory, this paper sets up a translation model and proposes effective translation strategies through the interpretation of the theory and the analysis of the translation from the perspective of vocabulary strategy, sentence equivalence and textual equivalence. It aims to ensure the accuracy and quality of English translation of energy technology and to facilitate the reading and provide theories for readers.
