Abstract

The physical properties of SnO2filmsdoped with ZnOprepared by using spray pyrolysis method at (450 ℃) deposited on glass slideswith thickness of (50± 300) at doping rates of (5, 7%) were studied. The results of X-ray diffraction (XRD) showed that films prepared arepolycrystalline with tetragonal structure. The direction of pure SnO2 was of high-intensity (110). The effect of doping with ZnO led to a decrease in the value of granular size. The surface topography was obtained using Atomic Force Microscope (AFM). The results of scanning electron microscope (SEM) for all prepared films were studied, clarifying that the films were polycrystalline and consisting of particles closely packed together. As for optical measurements, both absorption and transmittance were calculatedusing ultraviolet (UV) spectroscopy. Concerning the energy gap,the opticaltests showed that the films had a value about(3.8ev), which increased with increasing doping rates.
