Abstract

Composites are man-made materials that play a vital role in human life from the inception of civilization, passing it on to the future generations. The superior, physical, mechanical abilities and its cheap cost other than unreinforced materials, make aluminium metal matrix composites (AMC) very popular as it is used in a variety of advanced technical developments.  In comparison to traditional materials, the adding of reinforce material to the metallic matrix improves its stiffness, stability, durability, creep, and fatigue properties. The mixing of reinforcement and aluminum as a base metal determines the various physical and mechanical qualities. The various metal matrix-based composites and manufacturing processes for the development of MMC is discussed in this research. This paper also reports the advantages and utilisation of different Metal Matrix Composites
