Abstract

Stomata is an important gateway for water vapor and CO2 exchange between plant and environment, and plays an important role in plant life activities. The morphology, distribution and behavior of stomata are affected by internal cells and external climatic factors, so it is necessary to find out the behavior characteristics of stomata from microscopic changes. In this paper, the image of plant leaf stomata was detected by using the super field microscope. Firstly, image registration and image enhancement were carried out. Secondly, the stomata change area was determined by frame difference method, and the stomatal image area was segmented by C-V level set model. At last the approximate ellipse pore major and minor axis parameters were obtained by convex hull minimum circumscribed rectangle method, and then the variation of pore minor axis parameters was counted. We use minor axis parameters analyse stomata behavior. According to the results of stomata behavior analysis of 14 days and 3 periods per day, the accuracy of this method for the judgment of stomatal opening and closing behavior is 95.24%. This method provides a useful reference for analyzing the effect of climate change on stomata behavior.
