Green Transformational Leadership and Green Creativity: The Mediating Role of Green Commitment and the Moderating Role of Green Values

Abstract

Based on social cognitive theory, this research is conducted to explore the effect of green transformational leadership (GTL) on employees’ green creativity, as well as the mechanism which is mediated by green commitment. In addition, the moderating effect of green values are also investigated. With a sample of 252 supervisor-subordinate dyads, results of hierarchical regression analysis indicate that GTL is positively related to employees’ green creativity, green commitment partially mediates the influence of GTL on employees’ green creativity, green values moderates the influence of GTL on employees’ green creativity.
