Motion Law of Electromechanical Coupling Variable Input Globoidal Cam Mechanism

Abstract

Globoidal cam mechanism has been widely used in various automatic mechanical equipment because of its compactness, excellent bearing capacity and stability. This paper studies the motion law of the electromechanical coupling variable input globoidal cam mechanism, establishes the general expression of its equivalent model and transfer function. On this basis, a general solution for the nonlinear motion law coupling of the globoidal cam mechanism is proposed, and the corresponding MATLAB program is compiled and then verified by examples. The results show that the traditional globoidal cam mechanism realizes the diversified output of motion law by electromechanical coupling variable input. The change in the output motion law of the servo cam mechanism can adjust the motion parameters of the globoidal cam mechanism, and the globoidalcam with symmetrical motion law can consequently realize asymmetric output and improve its motion characteristics. The general solution for the coupling motion can effectively solve the problem caused by compound function after the nonlinear motion law superposition, and the method can also be used to solve the motion law of other composite mechanisms. The variable motion law of cam mechanism provides a theoretical basis for expanding the application of globoidal cam mechanism.
