Abstract

The MPP trackers are used to enhance the efficiency of SPV systems. Many methods had developed to pull out maximum power from SPV systems subjected to changes in climatic environment. This research paper proposes an intellectual method to obtain MPP tracking based on ANFIS technique based Fuzzy controller. This system comprises of a SPV module coupled to DC-DC buck converter and the output power is stored in a battery. The PV module used is of 220W panel output, which has been experienced under varying irradiations and a steady operating temp. of 25°C. The SPV module used was Trina Solar TSM-220DA35 and the simulation is performed under MATLAB / Simulink version R2016a. A battery of 12V is used. This paper exhibits the modelling of an ANFIS based MPPT controller for tracking of MPP of a SPV system and the results are evaluated w.r.t the FLC (fuzzy logic) controller. The simulation result shows the dominance of ANFIS controller corresponding to settling time, power losses and oscillations around operating point.
