A Study on Insight of Employees towards Jobs in Hospitality Industry in Tamil Nadu

Abstract

The hospitality industry in India is highly labour intensive and it requires skilled, unskilled and semi-skilled employees in large quantum in direct and or indirect means to contribute to employment and income generation and distribution among them. The results reveal that jobs in hospitality industry are interesting and decent, largely accepted by community, providing chances to meet different personalities, enhancing human relation with others generating pleasurable feelings, providing opportunities to get trainings and free from gender inequality as insight of employees towards jobs in hospitality industry. Significant difference exits amid profile of employees and their insight towards jobs in hospitality industry. The job involvement of employees is positively, significantly and moderately relating with their insight towards jobs in hospitality industry. Hence, jobs in hospitality industry should give competitive salary to employees and they must ensure good work life balance and they should assure secured life to employees.
