Self Similar Analysis in Hyderabad Road Traffic

Abstract

The main focus of the paper is to examine the self similar behavior in road traffic using Hurst index. Literature witnessed self similar behavior in most of the traffic related data such as internet traffic, air traffic etc., Inspired by these features, we worked on Hyderabad road traffic to verify the self similarity. Various methods are used to ensure the self similarity by calculating Hurst index. This Hurst index grants information on the potency of the self similarity. These verification outcomes displayed in this study play a crucial role to upgrade the strategies for reducing the traffic congestion.
