Developing a Socialist-Oriented Market Economy in the Context of Globalization: from Theory to Practice

Abstract

Developing a socialist-oriented market economy is an important content in the comprehensive reform of the country of the Communist Party of Vietnam. From the 6th Party Congress (1986) to the 13th Party Congress (2021), the socialist-oriented market economic institution has been increasingly improved and proven correct in practice when it helping our country get out of difficult economic times, achieving a growth rate that is sometimes among the highest in the world. From a poor, low-income country, Vietnam has joined the group of middle-income countries, integrating more deeply with the world economy. This study focuses on the theoretical analysis of the socialist-oriented market economy and the practical development of the socialist-oriented market economy in Vietnam. From there, continue to make comments, assessments, and recommendations for solutions to further develop Vietnam’s socialist-oriented market economy in context of globalization.
