Abstract

Nowadays, growing the increasing demand for electricity consumption in residential uses and industrial uses, the necessity of increasing production and optimizing the power system is very important. Increasing consumption of energy causes an increase in transmission lines and network voltage reduction, which reduces the power quality and causes dissatisfaction with consumers. One of the equipment that can be used to reduce these problems is capacitor, so one of the most significant issues of distribution companies is a capacitor in distribution networks where its size and location are very important. So far, many studies have been done in the field of capacitor localization and size, but considering that each year the mathematical algorithms are more advanced, our purpose in this study is to investigate the placement and size of the capacitor on the IEEE 33 standard bus network using neural-fuzzy network. The results show that by using fuzzy logic, the power of capacitors and using the nervous system which consists of test and training can also be obtained.
