Attitudes in Driver Speed Behaviors

Abstract

This study was conducted on a number of drivers to evaluate their behavior and driving vehicles on the roads in order to present the most prominent of those causes and what are the ways to address them if possible according to the opinions of the drivers themselves to show their point of view on this problem. This study was conducted using a questionnaire list that includes many questions that were directed to the drivers to indicate their behavior in terms of their driving speed of the vehicles and also state the number of accidents resulting from the high speed. This questionnaire was distributed in two ways; the first is to distribute it via links on social media sites for drivers in Baghdad city. The second way is by interviewing drivers and recording their information, in which the questions included age, gender, academic achievement and work, and then highlighting the method of transportation most used by the driver, what is the safest means of transportation., After that, the side of accidents and traffic violations was taken, and also if the driver wears a seat belt while driving or not, speaking on the phone and sending a message to the driver, studying the reasons for speeding some drivers and studying the solutions available to reduce this speed.
