Abstract

Biometric identification by eyes depends on iris detection in human eye image. Iris circle localization from other part of eye is complex as nature of image varies person to person and time to time. This paper has proposed a Iris segmentation model. Proposed model uses color and edge feature in the work. Segmentation depends on color feature selection for iris portion detection in the work. Butterfly Algorithm and Particle Swarm optimization was used to identify cluster center for image iris portion detection. Use of hybrid genetic algorithm increases the color feature detection accuracy in the work. Once feature value get select then based on edge feature circle was identify in the image, although iris is not a complete circle, so nearby region is also mark as iris portion in image. Experiment was done on real dataset images having left and right eyes. Result shows that proposed model has increase the detection parameter values as compared to other detection model.
