Design and development of IOT based Android application for Distribution Management system Automation

Abstract

Distribution Management System Automation (DMSA) is key technology to manage the energy utilization along Renewable energy Integration to maximize energy efficiency. The objective of this work is to develop Android application for DMSA with Renewable Energy connection. DMSA works on the priority of the supply Solar, AC mains & Diesel generator based on the load shifting control algorithm depending upon the availability of sources and loading conditions. Simulation carried out in Proteus software to test the working of DMSA. Internet of Things (IOT) based Android Application software is designed and developed enables us to switch different appliances for a specified time from any remote location through internet and represent the power delivered by the source and power consumed by the load.A prototype hardware module is developed to demonstrate & validate the results.
