Abstract

Due to its compact structure, good rigidity and large transmission torque, the globoidal cam mechanism is widely used in indexing mechanism of various packaging machines. However, compared with the cylindrical cam mechanism, its indexing number is smaller, which limits its application. In order to realize the spatial meshing transmission with large division number and high precision, a new internal meshing globoidal cam mechanism is proposed, and its working principle is described. According to the principle of spatial curved surface meshing, the general calculation and unified expression of the contour surface of internal meshing globoidal cam are proposed by means of differential geometry and rotation tensor transformation. On this basis, the specific expression of cam profile surface equation under different structure forms of cylindrical roller, tapered roller and cylindrical drum roller is established. The Through an example, MATLAB calculation and UG modeling are used to verify the feasibility of the result. It lays a foundation for pressure angle analysis of internal meshing globoidal cam mechanism, and provides a theoretical basis for its motion simulation analysis and manufacturing.
