Abstract

This paper contains a deep analysis of tool steel A2on output parameters material removal rate(MRR) and surface roughness(SR). For the mathematical modelling, design, and planning of the experiment Taguchi’s L9 orthogonal array is applied. Peak current (IP), pulse off time (Toff), Pulse on time (Ton), wire tension (WT)and servo voltage (SV) are the input parameters for the experiments. Although all the input parameters affect the MRR(Material removal rate) and SR (Surface roughness), Ton and IP are highly effective on MRR, IP and Ton are the most influential process parameter on SR.
