Social Responsibility, Corporate Reputation and Low-Carbon Innovation Performance: A Moderated Mediation Model

Abstract

As the intensification of environmental pollution and greenhouse effects, it’s more and more important for corporate to perform social responsibility. Relationship between corporate social responsibility and innovation performance needs to be explored. In this paper, we study on the intermediary effect of corporate reputation and moderating effect of cluster low-carbon cognitive between corporate social responsibility and innovation performance based on structural equation model and hierarchical regression analysis, taking Chinese manufacturing enterprises as objects. Results show that corporate social responsibility has significant positive influence on low carbon innovation performance in the context of low-carbon economy. Corporate reputation plays partial intermediary role between corporate social responsibility and innovation performance, and the effects of network ability reputation is stronger than fair trade reputation. Cluster low-carbon cognitive plays positive moderating role between corporate social responsibility and innovation performance. The higher level of Cluster low-carbon cognitive is, the more significant moderating effects are. The results can provide beneficial reference to disclosure of corporate social responsibility and improvement of innovation performance in the context of low-carbon economy.
