Abstract

10 beams were collected from laboratories in Baghdad, Iraq, where paper focuses on the effect of glass fibers on the beams in terms of shear strength.

it was based on the collection of 10 beams represented by the dimensions of length 1000 mm, width 153 and the height was 250 mm,

This premium new material is characterized by its light weight, high strength, ease of installation, capacity, high tensile resistance and durability. This study aimed to test the result of strengthening beams by gluing composite materials with fibers

These distinguished new materials are characterized by their light weight, high strength, ease of installation, ability, high tensile resistance and durability. This study was directed towards testing the result of strengthening reinforced concrete by gluing composite materials with fibers and in the other side , contributing to the development of this technology based on plastics reinforced with polymer fibers, which remains relatively unknown to civil engineers, and an extensive experimental program was prepared in order to determine the optimal method of strengthening the bearing capacity of the elements built with reinforced concrete so that it helps and maintains the concrete without any damage. It showed an increase in bearing capacity with a decrease in steel and concrete deformations in addition, the external reinforcement increases the

Rigidity of the sheathed beams, and this was evident from the failure that occurred suddenly in the encapsulated models, while it gradually occurred in the models control is not encapsulated.
