Abstract

This paper aims to design a Programmable Analog Array (FPAA) that has the same programmable feature as the Programmable Gate Array (FPGA). The FPAA is a programmable circuit system based on analog circuits as the basic unit and then a programmable circuit system is completed by the interconnection of multiple basic units. We call this basic unit a Computational Analog Blocks (CABs). A CAB can complete a variety of simple mathematical correspondences, so we can use multiple CABs to complete a circuit system with greater functionality In this paper, a new high-frequency domain programmable transconductance amplifier is proposed and analyzed, and we can synthesize a descriptive analog block by programming the Floating current source (FCS) integrator, the programmable capacitor, and the MOSFET analog switch, which also contains an automatic correction circuit in the circuit system. The overall FPAA system is based on TSMC- 0.18um process, with the highest operating frequency range within the system 10MHz (Integrator phase error < 2.9°), the final design completes a 2×1 descriptive analog block array system circuit
