Smart Class in Big Data Era: Empirical Study on the Teaching of Public English in Higher Vocational College

Abstract

Under the background of big data, smart education has developed into an essential part of modern education, so it is a new task entrusted by the times to explore the teaching ways of public English in higher vocational colleges. This paper combined the concept of "smart class", based on the participation theory of Greg Kearsley, selected the freshman of non-English majors to participate in the experiment, through questionnaire survey, observation and other ways to analyze, found that using big data, reconstructing teaching procedures, building" smart class ", to a certain extent can improve students' interest in English learning, and create an efficient , fast, and dynamic learning environment, thus further improve students' English learning ability and English application ability.
