Local History of Suvarnabhumi and Cultural Capital to Promote Tourism

Abstract

This research is qualitative, the objective is to study the history of Suvarnabhumi for tourism support. and study the behavior of tourism in the area as well as making policy proposals to promote tourism in Suvarnabhumi By focusing on the use of historical stories and memories as the cultural capital of the area.The data in the study consisted of document research, interviews, and community forums. The researcher's sample group selected a specific sample, a total of 130 people, consisting of a group of people who know (Key Informant) such as tour leaders, site administrators. cultural capital holder 10 people who have experienced important events. The group of practitioners (Casual Informant) consists of 100 tourists who travel to various attractions and the general public (General Informant) is a group of people who live close to cultural capital, 20 people.
