Abstract

Analysis and design of PMSG wind turbine power based Current Fed Three Phase Inverter (CFI) using Genetic Algorithm (GA) based PID controller is proposed in this paper. In recent times there is a substantial consideration of hybrid renewable energy usage because of the decrease in fossil fuels. Efficient power conversion of the renewable resource is the major challenge for the researchers. GA based PID can track rapidly on wind so proposed power generation is draws a continuous power across DC-Link inverter drive. The greater part of the modern applications utilizes traditional PI controller for motor drive though, it is unsuitable for the fast dynamic condition. The presented paper discusses the execution of motor load when the current fed inverter support it and constrained by sinusoidal pulse width modulation which has the advantages of high gain, single stage operation, basic structure, the quick settling time of speed, THD and simple control. The paper points of interest are verified by simulation results which are performed by the MATLAB/Simulink.
