Abstract

Abstract:

Cloud computing provides a framework for storing and accessing data from any geographical place over the internet. Data storage on an untrusted cloud causes privacy and access control concerns. Traditional cryptographic approaches such as symmetric, asymmetric encryption and decoding are not suitable for the data privacy and access control in cloud. To address these concerns, the attribute-based encryption approach is appropriate for increased privacy and proficient access control mechanism. We have designed and implemented an attribute-based key generation and encryption mechanism for data stored on the cloud. This paper also provision the cloud user to access only the data that is required. The experimental findings demonstrate that the suggested approach decreases the computing cost of key derivation. The solution may give reassurance for registered cloud users to access their valuable data from the cloud while restricting illegal data access.
