Abstract

The improvement of the Power Point of the maximum Power Point (MPPT) from the photovoltaic (PV) system and the increase in the efficiency of the photovoltaic system is major challenge faced. The tracking of the maximum power point can increase the efficiency of the PV system. The obtaining of the maximum power point leads the ability to achieve the global maximum power point under partial shading conditions of the PV array. In order to get the global maximal power point one of the soft computing techniques which leads to track the maximum power point is particle swarm optimization (PSO)algorithm. there are so many conventional PSO techniques which have their advantages such as independence from the installed system, simplicity in hardware implementation. But these algorithms failed in achieve the global MPP in its parameter to assure high effectiveness. The global MPP can achieve by selecting the one of the types of PSO algorithm i.e., VCPSO by choosing optimal parameters of the PSO algorithm parameters of the dc-to-dc converters and the solar panel configuration. The sampling of the digital MPP controller to get the optimal value. to provide the maximum performance of the PV panel the optimal value of the sampling time for the MPP controller is determined. A new method is proposed to obtain the optimal value of the GMPP under PSE under PSC. The main research tool in order to use to get the optimal value is MATLAB/ Simulink. The design parameters of the new method meet the requirements of the MPPT controller for the PV system in order to get the GMPP in the PV system under partial shading conditions.
