A Diplomatic History of Egypt to Ethiopia and Nile from 1952 to 1974

Abstract

Ethio-Egyptian relation starts from the remote past due to the Nile River. Both countries had special relation from 1952 to 1974. This article surveyed Ethio-Egyptian diplomatic history from Egyptian Revolution to Ethiopia Revolution by taking the Blue Nile as a base of their diplomatic relationship.  A diplomatic history of Egypt to Ethiopia from 1952 to 1974 was influenced by various factors. Opportunities for cooperation were also constrained by historical  right of Egypt to the Nile River and the politics of cold war. Finally, the diplomatic history of Egypt to Ethiopia and the Nile was characterized by distrus among all parts.
