Research on the Impact of Environmental Policy and Environmental Protection Investment on Enterprise Environmental Technology Innovation

Abstract

Environmental technology innovation has become a supporting force for China to effectively
control environmental pollution. A sound environmental policy system and sound
environmental investment mechanism are the main driving forces for environmental
technology innovation. How environmental policy affects environmental technological
innovation, how environmental investment affects environmental technological innovation,
and what role environmental investment plays in the process of environmental policy
affecting environmental technological innovation have attracted the attention of domestic
and foreign scholars. However, in the context of profound changes in China's economic cycle,
how environmental policies and investment in environmental protection affect
environmental technology innovation, domestic and foreign scholars have not yet conducted
in-depth discussions on this issue. Based on this, this paper designs questionnaires, constructs
an empirical model, and uses multiple regression analysis methods to explore the effects of
environmental policies and corporate environmental protection investment on corporate
environmental technology innovation. The empirical results of the research are as follows.
Administrative environmental policies and market-oriented environmental policies have a
positive impact on corporate environmental protection investment. Administrative
environmental policies and market-oriented environmental policies promote corporate
environmental technology innovation. Corporate environmental protection investment plays
a moderate role in the process of administrative environmental policies and market-oriented
environmental policies affecting corporate environmental technological innovation.
