Abstract

The main objective of this project is the thermo mechanical analysis of the IC engine piston by using aluminium metal matrix composite materials with the different weight composition of Aluminium A390 alloy 100%, 95%, 90% and 85%, ZrO2 ceramic composition will take as a 0%, 5%,10% and 15% of the ceramic materials compositions and taken Kirlosker engine model is taken for this analysis, the results of thermal stress and thermal strain values are validated for different compositions, the piston is modelled in CATIA V5 software and thermo mechanical analysis done in ANSYS Workbench software,
