Abstract

In order to study the applicability and effect of cantilever roadheader in railway tunnel construction, the parallel heading at the entrance of one railway tunnel is selected as the test section to carry out the construction test research of cantilever roadheader. Through the summary of the construction situation of the test section and the analysis of the monitoring and measuring data, the reasonable advance per round and working procedure control time of cantilever roadheader construction in Grade-IV surrounding rock are confirmed. The research results show that the cantilever roadheader method, in the construction of railway tunnel, is not affected by the small cross section, and can also improve the self-stability of surrounding rock, and the effect of over-under excavation control and contour forming is better. Compared with the traditional drilling and blasting method, the cantilever roadheader method has the advantages of weakening the support measures, saving the engineering quantity and improving the construction progress.
