Hydrodynamic Analysis of Black Marlin Glider Wing Torpedo
Black Marlin is basically a fish adopted design which will be integrated to the fastest and will be deployed at high altitude from the fixed glider wing. The Black Marlin torpedo will be controlled by a GPS/INS based navigation system. This research will help with Three dimensional movement simulation and dynamic modelling motion of a underwater Black Marlin glider wing torpedo shape. The case of computational fluid dynamics (CFD) analysis was performed using the hydrodynamic parameter generated from tests such as the moment of lift, drag and erection at different angles of attack, where the varying Reynolds numbers around 106 were studied and the static flow velocity was 10.5 m/s and the body angle ranged from - 100 to 100 in steps of 5° for National Advisory Committee for Aeronautics (NACA) glider wing configurations is to find out the performance of torpedo safe in the entire region of operation.
