Abstract

With the advancement of new technology and expectation of customer’s requirements, it is a very challenging task to complete a project within budgets and time. Test case prioritization is a process of ordering the test cases in such a manner that when executed finds the maximum bugs in a more efficient way and helps in reducing the time and cost. For performing the prioritization of test cases, some criteria are required. In this paper coupling is used to prioritize the test cases. Three types of coupling namely interaction, component and inheritance coupling are considered. The considered coupling types are further divided under each category.  For experimental verification and validation the proposed technique was applied on the case studies implemented in object oriented programming language showing the efficacy of the approach.
