Abstract

The response characteristics of the engine control system are determined by the functional status
of airborne solenoid valve. The modeling and simulation are used to analyze the fault factors,
which provides important indicators for the detection of the functional status of the solenoid
valve. For the solenoid valve whose characteristic quantity is not in strict health states and is
also not in the fault states, the traditional fault diagnosis mainly depends on the experience of
the tester, which has the disadvantages of low detection efficiency and high subjectivity. A new
functional detection method based on fuzzy reasoning is proposed to solve these problems. By
processing the collected data according to the fuzzy rules and fuzzy calculation, the state index
of the solenoid valve which represents the functional status can be obtained to realize the
functional test of the solenoid valve. Through the experimental data verification, the method
improves the accuracy of the solenoid valve functional fault detection.
