Abstract

In the present era, women are recognized as successful entrepreneurs through their strong desire, qualities, and capabilities for robust economic development. Women’s entrepreneurship is a growing global phenomenon, attracting considerable research attention during the last few decades. The present research paper deals with the entrepreneurial traits Vs entrepreneurial skills among 240 women agropreneurs from Kanyakumari District of Tamilnadu. Here, Entrepreneurial Traits which are inherent and inheritance while   Entrepreneurial Skills are earned through traits are being analysed with the help of Reliability Statistics, Regression analysis, factor analysis and paired sign test. The present study clearly reveals the fact that the women who involved in agro businesses have earned skills from the traits they possessed. The notable skills developed by the sample respondents are Innovative Skills, Analytical Skills and Decision-Making Skills and it is observed that there is a strong relationship between Decision-Making Skills and Analytical Skills than Innovative Skills as far as the sample women agropreneurs are concerned. Hence it is strongly suggested that if innovative inputs and easy accessibilities of resources will make the women entrepreneurs in general and women agropreneurs in particular to reach success in their venture and being beneficial to the society they belong and to the Nation as a whole.
