Automatic Water Level Controller with Dry Running Protection

Abstract

Water is essential for all living organisms to survive in our daily activities. Water is vital to our survival, but we waste it for stupid reasons like forgetting to turn off the pump. To save water from these ridiculous cause, we devised this scheme that will prevent overflows. If the engine is driven without any water flowing through it, it will be damaged. The main goal of this project is to preserve water and prevent the motor pump from running dry. It is fully automated project that does not require any human intervention. The engine will automatically have switched on

if there is no water in the above tank and will turn off when the tank is fully filled. There are currently certain devices, such as this project, that turn on or off the motor based on the presence of water in the overhead tank.  However, there is no circuit to cut off the motor while it is running dry to prevent burnouts.
