Abstract

Lung-cancer is the most dangerous disease and it is having the highest mortality rate. Therefore, early detection, diagnosis, and immediate medical treatment can save the life of lung cancer-affected persons. But the challenge is, doctors cannot detect directly by simply observing CT, MRI, and PET images, etc. Hence Computer-Aided Diagnosis (CAD) system is needed for doctors to detect cancer at the early stage. In recent decades various researchers have developed and implemented a CAD system using numerous image processing techniques to detect lung cancer. In this research paper, we have investigated different image processing techniques to detect lung cancer in different types of scanned images.
