Abstract

Based on Maslow’s hierarchy of needs theory and the core literacy theory of physical education
and health, a scale is compiled in this study for the evaluation of adolescents’ fitness exercise
ability. This study surveyed 2880 middle school students in 16 urban areas of Beijing through
questionnaire surveys. Through exploratory factor analysis and confirmatory factor analysis, it
was found that the “Adolescent Fitness Exercise Ability Evaluation Scale” consists of three
subscales of basic fitness exercise ability, fitness exercise practice ability, fitness exercise
extension ability. Through reliability and validity test, it is found that the “Adolescent Fitness
Exercise Ability Evaluation Scale” has good reliability and validity, which can provide an
effective measurement tool for the evaluation of adolescent fitness exercise ability
