Abstract

It is important to know that today modern society cannot live without electricity. Due to high increase in oil prices and lack of fossil fuels, moving towards Renewable energy sources is the best option for present generation. In the renewable energy sources, the sun light can be converted into electricity by using Solar Photo Voltaic cells. The photo voltaic cells are semi-conductors, the term photo which means light and voltaic refers to electricity. We can understand it as an Electricity comes from light. The efficiencies of these modules are ranging from 15-20%. There exist some faults in photovoltaic systems due to the internal and external conditions. Due to the fault in the system, the efficiency of the system gets decreased. So that the fault detection is a key factor of the photovoltaic system. In this paper, the fault detection of a PV system is done by using Artificial intelligence(AI) and Machine learning(ML) techniques. In this paper a system is designed to find the faults in easiest way and also to find out which type of fault it is by using  AI and ML.
