The Relation between Higher Education and Urbanization in the Era of "Urbanization 2.0"

Abstract

This paper theoretically analyses the impact mechanism between higher education and the new urbanization, and establishes an econometric model to carry out OLS regression analysis on the cross-sectional data of 28 provinces in China. On the basis of deeply exploring the relation between the scale of higher education, investment in higher education, innovation level of higher education and urbanization, the paper proposes to ensure higher education and urbanization can go together by developing higher education based on the “double high” standard and by combing talent chain and innovation chain with urban chain.
