Bibliometrics-based Positioning of Natural Medicines Journals

Abstract

The Editorial Board of academic periodicals has a keen insight and profound understanding of the development of the subject. They have great academic influence. Therefore, the academic performance of the Editorial Board will play a vital role in the quality of the periodicals. By using the Chinese Journal of Natural Medicines(CJNM)as an example, comparable journal groups were determined according to the academic performance by the Chinese members of theEditorial Board of CJNM in this article. The research fields of these periodicals intersected with CJNM to a certain extent, and were thus comparable for analysis.Comparisons from multiple perspectives and using multiple databases, the academic level and influence gap between CJNM and related international journals were sought in order to explore current issues and solutions in Chinese scientific and technology-based journals.
