Abstract

This article presents a two-port multi-input multi-output (MIMO) antenna for a 5G application. The design consisted of 2 monopole components with an overall dimension of 11 x 4.5 mm2. To minimise the impact of one antenna element to another element, optimal research has been proposed. To decrease isolation between the ports of the proposed MIMO, a stub has been inserted into the ground plane. The given MIMO for 5G wireless application has been done out utilising HFSS software. The S11 value of deigned MIMO antenna achieved at 26 GHz resonance frequency and bandwidth of 4.3 GHz (from 24.0 GHz to 28.3 GHz) and isolation is below -27 dB. The MIMO performance of the given MIMO antenna provides excellent results such as impedance bandwidth, radiation pattern, isolation, and gain. The presented MIMO antenna demonstrates a high-quality applicant for 5G mm-wave application.
