Abstract

Robotics Process Automation (RPA) is currently being used to automate numerous      repetitive and tedious tasks. Practitioners in the clinical      research field are required to extract clinical trials data from specific websites and perform additional data processing on these extracted data. In this paper, we address a business case of automating a fairly complex data extraction of clinical trials data using an RPA tool named UIPath. The automation involves opening a browser, navigating to the website, providing      search criteria, downloading the       extracted  data, extracting additional information from the fields, and then adding these      as       columns to the extracted data.
