Abstract

The researcher has segregated data of 1426 engineering student respondents into three groups. First performance improved (n=119), performance maintained (n=115) and performance deteriorated (n=1192).  Percentage score checked in SSC and HSSC. Intellectual Capacity of each group is measured. The results indicated that Intellectual Capacity remains constant over a period of long time. However academic performance of the students changes in both the direction. Large number of students (84%) deteriorated their academic performance, few students (8%) improved their academic performance and some students (8%) maintained their academic performance.

Engineering Students has moderate level of intelligence but it is not nourished after their SSC examination. Hence their academic performance deteriorates over time period. Engineering students are not getting metal food which they require to enhance creativity, invention ability and to develop their Meta Cognition; this might be the reason of poor employability.
