Abstract

Accidents are currently a major issue for everyone. According to the latest estimates from the World Health Organization, road accidents are the leading cause of death among young people aged 15 to 29 around the world.  Accidents are becoming more common by the day, thus attempts being undertaken to prevent them and mitigate their consequences are very less. People in society don't care about the laws of the road, and they are routinely broken. Therefore, it is very important to use a smart helmet to ensure the safety with luxurious and smart features. In this paper, the proposed system is designed using two modules, helmet module and a bike module. These modules must both synchronize in parallel to ensure that the rider is wearing a helmet.  The communication between the helmet and the bike module circuit is provided by the radio frequency module. The speed of the bicycle is detected by sensors.  Alcohol detection modules is used to prevent drunk and drive accidents.  Crashes are detected by accelerometers and enhanced by the use of GSM modules in the circuit.  It is also designed to automatically send a message to individual contacts and responsible authorities that the person has been in an accident.  System use a fog sensor to improve visibility of fog. The system model can produce the desired results. The smart helmet provides a safety system from start to arrival of the driver at the destination.
