Abstract

In this Current world the use of Augmented reality and virtual reality has increased rapidly. There are presently existing depth edge detection techniques. In this paper we are comparing two techniques that is the fast depth densification for occlusion aware AR proposed by Holynski with the one with faster depth edge detection in OpenCV for depth densification in real-time occlusion aware AR. The method proposed by Holynski used a modified Canny edge detector that uses multiple frames plus soft edges to extract depth edges. In the depth edge detection in OpenCV only the soft edges and the canny edges of the current image were used to create a depth edge.
