Abstract

In Diesel engine vehicles the engine mount which connects the engine and the chasis plays a major role in isolating the vibration that is coming from the engine and the road. Here in this  project we are going to investigate  three different types of engine mount material like natural rubber, ntrile rubber, neorprene and polyurethane, here the mechanical proeprties like the hardness and tensile stress re to be calculated and the dynamic charecteristics like stiffness and damping characteristics are to be found along with the reinforcedment of the carbon black in the above materials this are to be simulated using the FEA.
