Abstract

Based on the gravity model of time distance correction and social network analysis method, this
paper studies the economic linkage network structure of urban agglomerations in Anhui
Province. The results show that there is a general directional differences in the intensity of
economic ties among cities in Anhui Province, but the differences among other cities are not
obvious except Hefei, the capital of Anhui Province. There is no significant difference in the
proportion of economic linkages among urban agglomerations in northern, central and southern
Anhui, and the regional economic linkages between urban agglomerations are close, while the
urban agglomerations in central Anhui extend from the border to the north and south. The
intensity degree of urban network economic links of Anhui Province is not high, but the
intensive degree of economic links within urban agglomerations is relatively high, and the
economic linkage network between the north and the south needs the border representative
cities to serve as the "medium" of connection. The spatial structure of economic linkage
network of urban agglomerations in Anhui province presents the characteristics of "North loose
and South dense". The direct connections between cities are predominant. Huainan, Hefei and
Wuhu have become the core of the economic linkage network of urban agglomerations. The
economic linkage network of urban agglomerations in Anhui Province can be divided into eight
three-level sub-groups and four second-level sub-groups.
