Abstract

Traditionally MPPT scheme used standard controls such as proportional-integral (PI) and proportional-integral-derivative (PID) controllers. In this paper hybrid fuzzy based controller is used by employing PSO technique to enhance the MPPT scheme. This technique combines the benefits of fuzzy logic controllers and standard PI controllers. This system is used to provide stability to the system as well as it offers fast-tracking to MPPT algorithms. As the PID controller involves the calculation of three different parameters, Proportional (P), Derivative (D), and the Integral (I) values. If these values of PID are auto-adjusted then it is not sure that the auto-adjusted values are best for the proposed work. Therefore, these values are adjusted by PSO optimization technique that is required to optimize the values of the PID controller to choose the best values of P, I, and D. The hybridization of the Fuzzy Logic and PID controller attains better and reliable result.
