Factors Affecting 21st Century Skills on Academic Achievement of Undergraduate Students

Abstract

This research aims to investigate the factors affecting the 21^st century skills on academic achievement of undergraduate students. Quantitative research was used in this research. The results showed that students had 21^st century skill at a good level (Mean = 4.055, S.D. = 0.583). Considering the skill of each aspect, it was found that students have the highest average score in skills of creative thinking and leadership. The strategies to develop students' skills are a policy to improve creative thinking skill, communication skill, and problem-solving skill. Building an understanding of problem-solving as well as applying thinking strategies will help students become more successful in 21st century education.
